Hanson Leatherby dropped by this summer to take some photos of Lost Estate/Darling and Edge’s ‘Swan Lake: The Great Masked Ball’. Here are a few of my favourites:
Watch out for more from Lost Estate soon!
Here are a few select pull quotes from the reviews our horror cabaret received at LHF last week:
As director:
‘Fascinating, funny and sad’ - 555/666 Horror Hot House
’A heartfelt, funny, campy horror show about a very real woman’ - On in London
’Sometimes comical, sometimes sincere and sometimes violent… The most enjoyable moments came from audience participation’ - London Pub Theatres
As designer:
’The set is ritzy and eye-catching with sparkling silver streamers covering every conceivable surface, gold streamers covering a keyboard and a coffin in the corner Frances and her musical accompanist, Leonard, are immaculately made-up to look like the undead. Green skin, contoured faces, glitzy costumes. Frances dons glittering red lipstick; a pink fluffy dressing gown; purple fluffy slippers and blonde hair styled in the fashion of the Golden Hollywood era. The attention to detail is faultless.’ - London Pub Theatres
We plan to rework the show and put it on again soon - so, look out for it!
Lost Estate/Darling and Edge’s ‘Swan Lake: The Great Masked Ball’ is featured in an article by dance critic Graham Watts discussing underground immersive dance!

This weekend i’ve performed a few walkabout acts… just in time for halloween!
The first was an acting/foh role with Les Enfants Terribles at their immersive ‘Kraken Screamfest’ event, convincing audience members to sign over their souls and the second was playing in the haunted woods in Gypsy Disco’s extravagant, decadent and obscure twisted fairytale at Chinawhite.
